Profile
Founded in July, 1973, Hong Kong Economic Journal (HKEJ) is Hong Kong’s first Chinese newspaper dedicated to coverage and in-depth analysis of financial news and current affairs. HKEJ is consistently ranked as the most credible news publication by editors and journalists since 1996, according to surveys conducted by the School of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. With the rise in recent years of the Greater China economies, HKEJ has earned reputation as a trusted source of information and quality commentary within Chinese communities around the region.
Long a proponent of free economy, HKEJ is also a staunch advocate of knowledge and wealth creation. Financial news, politics, business management, culture, the arts, lifestyle, health, science and technology are its key contents. As a newspaper for a select group of influential readers, HKEJ seeks to maintain a clear focus and a distinct voice amidst today’s information explosion, and to bring a broad, balanced perspective to local and international news and events.
As globalization becomes an irreversible trend, financial and economic information exchanges have become vital links in the new global village. Within the rapidly expanding Greater China economic region, Hong Kong’s role as a financial and information hub has grown ever more prominent.
Guided by 35 years of experience in dedicated financial and political news coverage in Hong Kong, HKEJ will continue to uphold its mission to be an independent voice and a purveyor of quality journalism by providing reliable and insightful information for its readers.
